My attempt at steampunk

So during our Wednesday craft night we had to alter these mini chalkboard stands and this is the idea I came up with. I used a wave brick stencil and some distress cracking paint. I used my Bombay inks to color along with using my metallic lusters. I mainly used rose gold. I had some metal gears and keys so I used a few of those along with a chipboard steampunk mermaid piece. I really love how this turned out. I’m sure I will try more projects like this.

I’m a little different

Some people say that my art techniques are different. I feel that it’s just my own way of interpreting art. I just go with what ever feels right to me. I am a bit different but I think we all are when it comes to our art and our creations. I love this quote that I have used in my art journal.

I love stenciling

Today was our Wednesday craft night and we had to alter these sunglasses cases. I had no idea what I was gonna do with this project. So I thought I would add some color then use a beautiful crackle stencil to top it off. Let me say. I think they turned out beautiful. Everyone thought they were so cute. I just always turn to stencils when I need to add a little something different.

Wednesday is craft night.

I so love when Wednesday roles around because a few of my friends and I go on our YouTube channels. And we will alter something. We all have the same thing to alter but out projects come out so different from one another’s. We have a lot of laughs while we interact with our YouTube chat. So Wednesday is one of my favorite days of the week.

My first blog post.

I’m very excited to finally have started a blog. It’s nice to have a place where my fans and friends can see how my creativity is growing. I just wanna thank my son billy who is in heaven for letting my crafting side come out and shine. I’m a much happier person now that I have a wonderful hobby.
